MO‘S RESTAURANTS/ MO’S WEST

When Mohava Marie Niemi, Newport’s crusty, big-hearted chain-smoking mother died in 1992 at the age of 79, she left behind much more than a successful business and a trunk full of colorful anecdotes. Her greatest legacy, perhaps, was the work ethic she instilled in her family, which survives to this day.

Cindy continues to run the business today along with the help of her daughter Gabrielle and son Dylan. In January of 2005 Cindy published a book, “Mo’s On The Waterfront, Tradition Turned Legend” to honor the life of her beloved grandmother and to celebrate the business she created over 55 years ago. A trip to the Oregon Coast is not complete without a stop at Mo’s. We look forward to serving you!

CAFE C’EST LA VIE

As you enjoy your time at the coast and the cozy atmosphere of Bella Beach make sure to stop in the neighborhood cafe for some European treats! Our winter hours are Thursday – Monday from 10:00 am-4:00 pm with weekend evening events. Once spring sets in (early May) we will begin opening 6 days a week at 8:00 am and extend the evening hours. The menu changes seasonally but will always feature sweet and savory crepes, a daily homemade soup, a variety of pastries and French-inspired sandwiches using local Rockfish Bakery rustic bread as well as all manner of Italian espresso beverages! We also offer a selection of microbrews and European ales and a rotating list of fine wines from the Northwest and France. In addition to edible treats, we are proud to feature local art from several coast residents including photography, glass mosaic pieces, and handmade jewelry.

On Sunday evenings from 6:00 pm to 8:00 Cafe C’est La Vie welcomes you to enjoy “Dinner & A Movie” with classic films and authentic recipes chosen specially to compliment each other. The dinner is served in conjunction with the film and a wine pairing will be available.
